A new option for Nelson area shooters

Rumour is that a new shop will be opening in Brightwater next month, offering some nice features.

25 mt indoor range, with chronograph. Two reloading benches, with all the toys, for the use of. Hopefully stocking decent range of reloading gear and amo

25m range really only any use to airrifles and rimfire tho yes?

I struggle to pick best load at 100m prefering 200m plus

My info is that the range is open to centre fire. Chrono would be somewhat wasted on slug guns and 22`s

I have my reservations on the range thing, as I would guess that getting consent for such would be both frustrating and very expensive.
Will have to wait n see

Not at all that is where I would want to test both velocity and accuracy before buying and this exact situation has been my buying frustration in the past with both Hamils and Hunting and fishing.
Air rifles are notoriously overstated in both their velocity and accuracy as are rimfires to a lesser extent.

For centerfire hunting type rifles I would think the only usefull information would be yes it hurt me like a little girl with a barbys head ripped off/ are you sure it went off I didnt feel a thing recoil comparisons for newby shooters.

But..but....being able to load and testfire at the same location and get an idea of velocity, can only be a good thing. Surely.
I already know what hurts my poor skinny shoulder

What good is knowing the velocity if you dont know how well it shoots?

Id shoot a medium recoiling rifle an inch at 25y an inch at 100y and a inch at 200y if the rifle was capable of less than that.
Im talking a huntin rifle with a hunting scope, I cant even focus the crosshair and target at the same time that close.(25y)
