Now that it a movie I'd like to see.

Ye Gods. I don't think I could cope with the cast changes so...........

Permission to panic Sir, permission to panic!
It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

Permission denied Jones. Come on now, let's get on with it men.

I reckon that cast would be great. Still find it hard to believe they were going to cast a very young David Jason as Jones in the original series.

Yep. One has to wonder what that role would have done to Davids career. I mean Clive Dunne never really got out of that pidgeon hole did he.

I look forward to this remake Bill Nighy as Sgt Wilson is perfect

I am sure the BBC will not furk it up...DA is such an iconic load of absolute nonsense...reading about the Spitfire Squadrons and how the Home Guard rattled them for awhile until they could establish nationality!!

I watched the old Dads Army movie the other day on Sky, must've been made in the early 80's. The studios technical advisor was on the ball, the whole platoon had P14's, great to see.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

Ah, but did they wear two of the Boys anti tank rifle magazine pouches?
As originals were rare beasts, closer examination generally shows that they "fluffed it" with these:

A pair of Pattern 37 binocular cases
