    Nuie

Day 2 up at VC o'clock bloody roosters going hard from before dawn! Bodies adjusting to island time ..no rush! Got to supermarket in rental car everything very basic! Had to wait until 10 for the bottleo got supplies off down the road to swimming spots! Amazingly clear but a bit of local knowledge about diving mid to low tide would have being a help! Lis and I caught in a gutter with a rip pulling us seaward..got Lis in hand got her shallow and all was ok! Heart in mouth stuff for a min or two!

So rule of thumb is div mid to low when surge backs off and you can walk to the end of the gutter and get into the edge of the reef! Amazing fish life and huge trigger fish (leather jackets) a small travely 12-15 lb buzzed in whilst I was in a gutter watching fish. All light up sliver blue and spotted was very cool shit tons of blue black orange moi moi sized etc wrasse striking blue and orange ..some others which photos will only do justice ..

Fishing trip tommorow FADs are 200 yards from shore on the water at 530 am, two boats working past us this morning both appeared to hook up on the far point in the whale photo. Fucking hot water bath temp quite as no bird life apart form the chicken which are everywhere ...sorry the blah but photos a pain to load ..

The information centre in town has all of the detail of what tide to hit what swimming spots, as well as free tide tables.

I really enjoyed the snorkeling at Avatele beach. The channel out of the bay was crammed full of bait fish, and outside the reef there were turtles, and spinner dolphins right in close.

    Enjoy the sea snakes.

Awesome place. Water is so clean. We did an orientation tour from the hotel and that was good for showing where and when to go snorkeling and where to eat You could get lost in some of the potholes in the road ! Sea snakes are very inquisitive

Well 15 mins of trying load photos leads me to this post ...know your enemy...old noisey goes to bed early and cranks it full volume at 3.30 since we beat him rising out of the roost!

The hunt is on , he has a family I know but a relocation is on the cards!

Trade winds today pushing a lovely cooling 20k ...eased off now so fan on in our room ...pool full of the new comers so we're laxing waiting for the heat to ease then down for happy hour drinks...sun burn kicked in diving in a teashirt all day..

Dived the wharf today...sea snakes piper fish and the usaual...heard of turtle and reef sharks handy so out side tommorow searching for them...heard of an outside reef still holding solid fish spieces so asking the guides for a trip there ..no joy yet small boats and sounds like an hours boat ...well fuck me photo loaded later team
