Petone gun shop becoming a cat Café?

So I've been away from Wellington for about a year. Has the Petone gun shop closed down? Apparently a cat café is going in there. Any idea what happened to the shop? I never got along with the owner incidentally – odd bugger who had a go at me for being a "B" pistol shooter.

Glad you asked Brian. It is a place where .... (hark this) ...... people go for a coffee and take their bloody cat along. I've got one at home. It's called a kitchen. Ha ha ha ha

Aee what, I heard you go for a coffee and the coffee shop has heaps of cats running around that you can pick up and pet. What I don't understand is though how do you stop cats from knocking coffee and shit over?

You are probably right as that actually makes more sense. The answer to the the knocking over question is "buggered if I know". Imagine the irony if the place was between the SPCA and a Chinese Takeaway (it would sort of be a half way house).

I'll keep an eye out when I'm down there I'd like to see the local cat lady taking a big mob in for coffee.

I must have misread it, I thought it said "'A' cat café" and was still a gun shop that served coffee...
