    Police Chase ends in Triple fatality crash in Nelson. One victim innocent.

    Heard of this on Radio NZ this morning, some high up cop lady interviewed by a piece-of-crap reporter.

    Crap asks her if the chase was over a traffic offence or for a "serious" criminal offence... Good grief, does he not know how many people die every year through traffic offences???

    I don't know who the victim was, but a cop had to go and let his or her family know. I hope for the victim that the life he/she did get to live was not a wasted life, unlike some. This must be even harder to bear for the dead perpetrators' next of kin.

    Heres another view that is being publicised on the topic. This perspective comes up every time a death occurs as a result of a Police pursuit.

    @sambnz

    Yes, and then they turn around and criticize the cops for not doing enough about the road toll.

    In terms of danger to life, even if cars are supposedly filled with MSSAs they're less worthwhile for cops to chase than speeding / erratically driven cars.

    Collateral damage. Question is whether it is an acceptable collateral damage. Of course not if you view dangerous driving as a minor matter.

    I feel for the victim and her family but am actually glad they(those doing the runner) wont be tieing up police/courts/prisons time and hence taxpayer dollars anymore and as a pleasant side affect the regions burglary rate might drop a bit.

    By definition I agree it is collateral damage, but fuck it irks me to see innocent people and their families victimised by others who continue to make bad choice after bad choice.

    That's the struggle though too, let them go and they think they're above the law and continue with being shit heads or pursue with the intent to capture and discipline.

    Bloody sad for the innocent lady, and her family that now have to deal with this.
    Absolutely no sympathy for the two ferals that caused it.

    Yup, my cousin got killed by the driver of the car she was in, he had done it before too.
    Pretty gay when innocent people get wasted. Though she must of known he was drunk, this time the victim was completely innocent.
