    Resetting electronic safe lock.

Bought a new to me safe. I have the default access code but obviously want to change it. Do any of you fine learned individuals know how to go about resetting it?
    Cheers.

There's probably a button or something inside the safe, on the back of the lock, to reset it?

Absolutely, except I can’t find a brand name, serial number or anything. I think it was one of those no name one day deals safes.

there will be a push button in the back of the lock. i have 3 of these safes and they all have a switch.
hold it down 3 seconds till the led's light up. enter new code and press #
some are 4 digit codes, some 6 and some 8

And if you gently look under the silver label you may even find a key hole over ride to open it if it goes flat. Not all have them , but the ones I have seen do.

Have a look at the side of the door next to the hinge..... Some safes have a button that is depressed when the door is closed, similar to a door light button on a fridge or car........

Looks like the kind of safe you could open with a neodymium magnet in a sock. No shit. Wouldn't put anything valuable in it.

Safes only stop opportunists. We all know I could spend 10k on a safe but at the end of the day it’s not going to stop a determined crim.

Yeah, but there's levels of determination...

Um, so if you know where to look you can open this safe without having the code? Not exactly SAFE.
