I used to love it till one fateful nite.
The smell of it turned me green for years.
Only just able to drink it again lately.

Had some seriously nice rums at the bar @Beaker mentioned.

Skirt wearing low lander more like

Brekkie creek bar does have some very nice rums though. I was even surprised that I tried a spiced rum and I liked it. I've been looking out for a bottle of it -

Had a work function there once. Tried a heap of rums and there were a couple I have no hope of remembering that were amazing.
I am still in contact with one of the fellas that sorted them out on the bar but I am sure he would struggle to remember brands from that nite as well.

Had a wee visit from former West Coaster @Beaker just now. He reeked of Dorkland.

He is still trying to convert me to rum.
He dropped off a bottle and I am not sure if it has a couple agendas, noting the brand

I only had good whiskey in the cabinet so wasn't going to waste it on a non believer returning the gesture.

Offered to share a rum with him but the sooky laa laa said he was driving.... pfftt.

We had a coffee and good yarn instead.
Planned some adventures and after a short visit (missing the north island I suspect) he left with a bit of aged venison.
Was good to see ya fella.

I think the brand has an underlying message as there is a kiss and a hug (XO) on the bloody box as well.

One of my good mates drinks rum with ice. I had a few with him the other night but mixed with coke.
Was actually quite good for a change. I got violently ill on it years ago and never really got over the smell. But lately have been able to have the odd one.

I can always bring decent spirits when I get up there anyway
