    Sealing/painting summer hill stone

One of the jobs for this summer (when we finally get it) is sealing or painting the exterior of our summer hill stone house, does anyone have experience with this?

Don't really need to change the colour it's just an option as the paint can act as a sealer I'm told
Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

Not familiar with that type of stone, if summer hill stone is what it is called, rather than a location. I know you can get a specialist treatment for Hinuera stone, but it is expensive.
I would probably be looking at products such as Thompsons water seal, which is silicone based I think

IIRC summerhill stone is actually a split concrete block.
