Seriously, this is what we have come to?

I have just heard on the radio that dozens of ANZAC day dawn services and parades all over the country are being cancelled on the advice from NZPolice that they have concerns for the safety of the attending public. What a very sad day when we as a country cannot muster to honour the servicemen and servicewomen that paid the ultimate price. I am appalled that such scaremongering has occurred and even more so that RSA’s around the country are cancelling their plans.

We need to get on with our lives!

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

That’s no good. We as Scouts like to march and show our respect to our fallen servicemen and women.

    yup. Its bullshit.
this is what happens and shows up
A: what a bunch of softcocks we are now as a society
and B: how useless the coppers are in a situation like this.
maybe they should get some of the military out of barracks to guard the ceremonies.
This terrorist fucktard has won here on so many levels.
Killed a bunch of people on our turf
He has got a democratic system bypassed, alienating a good portion of citizens from the elected leadership and treated like criminals.
    Absolutely wrecked our shooting sports
Got muslim radicals spouting retribution on us when we had shit all to do with it and bent over backwards to say sorry
And now @Rushy if what you say is true then that is the ultimate success as our lifestyle as a nation including the townies that don't want guns anyway, is changed.
When that happens they have won big time.
    Fail

Along with your distant parent group The Boys Brigade and our sister groups The Girls Brigade, Girl Guides, and Cadets, St Johns, Police, Fire Service, .... Daughter was in flag party just last year in the civil service.

I really hope the news has got it wrong @Rushy. Services should be held regardless. Perhaps we should all offer the oilice armed support.

Services are being held but Parades not recommended. Easier to provide “protection” at a static event....something I saw on FB...

NZ has Army Navy Airforce Territorials as well as Police. Mobilise the lot, armed.
Cancellation of ANZAC Parades is COWARDLY.

And yet... I'm reliably advised we have no corruption in the NZPC. So there is nothing to see here. This is not the farce we are looking for. We had best be about our business. We're not supposed to act as free citizens. Things could get out of hand. Police should keep guarding only mosques, that's the ticket! to protect the NZ way of life. ANZACs? So last century, m'dear. And so forth.

That’s what happens when you are governed by a bunch of left wing apologists. Wonder if skeletor will bump her not insubstantial gums so quickly on this. Pop yer scarf on love and roll the country over on its back once more.

WTF! Do they honestly think that they are going to be attacked by Muslims that have been radicalised due to the heart felt sorrow, support and kindness that has been shown to them. Someone forgot to take their medication I think!

This sort of thing is just ridiculous !!

With every decision made like this, the more he wins.

I second the comment made by @Rushy at the start of this thread.
