    Is this your common variety skink ? Not a very good pic was about 4" with a copper head and a splash of copper on the tip of its tailName:  lizard.jpg

    If have hundreds of the buggers up here so pretty common here.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded

    From the pic I'd say it is a native one, but there is an Aussie import that has become very common in the Auckland district and is quickly displacing the native ones.

    It's an Aussi import that's well established in the Auckland/ Waikato area.
