    So how many old soldiers on this forum?

    just joined yesterday and am interested to know how many old soldiers are members here. I was a grunt 71 to 76.

    Soldier since 84-2001. Majority of my time with 2nd/1st. Still hate the thought of any form of drill to this day.

    Not like I got a broom handle up my ass scribe. But the odd time I have repremanded someone for parking in a handicap spot they have apologised profusely and offered to move their vehicle for mine.
    Sorry mate, it must have got lost in cyberspace. I will pm you when I have a fixed abode here in Oz. Just starting a new contract and waiting to see were I end up.
    I am working with a bloke that just completed his 38th year in the NZ Army. I was just a flash in the pan.

    I was in Taylor Class of the last year that the RFCS was operating.1989 pretty sure it closed in 1990 but I may be wrong.

    Ha Ha yeah nothin' changes mate! drill was invented to give nco's another way to mess with the poor old privates. I'll never forget my first sarg's comment to me when he noticed a blowfly walking across my face (standing at attention for 30mins). "Dont worry pte Foye...They dont eat much". Ah the fun times

    Im only 34. served '96 to 2000. I was just a wee little egg back then
