    Pretty big mobs of deer.

Puhuni is up the coast? The shooter had Raukumara on his jumper so Im guessing it is. Big animals up that way and shit loads of them too from what Ive heard.

How many stock units would a Red equate to? Chewing up a lot a the bottom line I'd presume.

Lol! Na. Never hunted nice country like that. Always wore a Carhartt jump suit that could stand up by itself.
I would have had the camera on an external mount giving a different perspective as well.
I only got to hunt the central NI when I was up there.
They seemed very selective in what they shot as well.
Did make me really miss it, watching that clip tho.

Only makes it easier on the pilot.
Right handers can shoot behind the machine if they overshoot or an animal gets up.
Robbies are a prick to shoot out of at the best of times.

Neat vid and the song made famous by utube.

Don't have a problem with meat shooting from a eggbeater but if the property owners allowed the public to hunt it i am sure it would be not needed.

Used to hunt next to that station in early 90's . Huge animals. The same crew blew over 100 deer at another station near Tuai because they were pouring out of the Ureweras but the deer were in poor condition.
