    Stainless fabricators here?

How hard would it be to fabricate a 65-75 degree cone on a 55L keg (bottom cut off obviously?)

Just working on ideas at the moment, may bite the bullet and buy a shiny new conical.

    Cheers,

    Vincent

Sounds like a Still in the making RB.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Not that hard to do at all.. The easiest way to do it is with a press. but it will mean your cone will have press lines all down it.
Any good press operator should be able to do it then you just gotta weld it up!

    Easy but time consuming.

Youll need to develop a pattern to make the cone off. Depending on the size of the smaller hole you can roll it or if you get stuck press break lots of small bends. I would cover your tooling with thin rubber or masking tape to stop steel contamination from the tooling embedding into the surface of the stainless. Make sure its perfectly round and the whole base sits flat on the bench before you weld it up. You might want to back purge it too..

as above piece of cake, depending on dia of small end if you can roll or not. I would roll if at all possible.

Let us know how it goes RB. Or where you might source an alternative conical should this fail...
