Yeah had a read this morning and thought it made us all sound like whiny little heart broken kids.
"But mum?! He said something mean."

Few good points in there though but you read the comments at the bottom and shows you how uneducated some people are.

    Whiny like Cahill!

The comments at the bottom show that the govt might think it has the support to shaft us. I read the police briefing (Wish list) to Nash, firearm issues are a high priority, they want the act changed, if that happens I’m glad I don’t own my AR anymore plus they want to charge us more for licensing, if they bring compulsory registration I’d expect they will want us to fund that too.

Interesting comments at the bottom and they have not shut this down yet.
But the whole article is anti gun.
Look at how the photos are close up big grin and hat for the gun blogger?
Cahill arms folded saying come on guys meet me in the middle
Even the pie chart I had to study to make some sense of it, which dose not even show A cat?
Himmmm it's a start but not really in the right direction?

"He stands by the Police Association's position that all firearms should be registered, and says the small minority on social media are "blinded" by their views.

"I've certainly learnt there's some pretty strong opinions out there in the gun community … they're not interested in any sort of debate or discussing."

Is that like police "consultation" Chris? Giving us a couple of weeks to comment on your illegal reinterpretation of the arms act? Is that your idea of discussing?

Is that him and his imaginary campfire stories. The man is a complete bullshit artist, he should hang out with Brian Tamaki.

All this carry on about firearms being more and more prevalent, but I saw a figure the other day that AOS callouts were down a solid 10%... That doesn't fit the narrative now does it?

If PNHQ were doubling down on sentencing for firearms crime, I'd be right up there with them in support. But, not the case, and most of what they are doing is real wonky on facts, and outright lies for the rest. There's an axe being ground and I don't why, but I don't like it. I have gone from being fully supportive of police to deeply suspicious of police hierarchy and its motives within the last 10 years. It really sucks to be honest, we should be on the same side here, and it doesn't do Joe Plod any good having spitting ferals on one side and disenfranchised LAFO on the other. Can't be good for staff retention? Can Bullshit Castle not see how counter productive this is? It's a real worry.

Yeah Tommy,I totally agree.Anyone with the mindset that Cahill has..”my way or the highway”,then he should be removed, the statement is one of disdain and disrespect for law abiding gun owners. The notion that you can you can use one brush to paint everyone shows nothing but contempt for the whole notion of firearm ownership..........I’m of the opinion, his lack of “enthusiasm” to work with gun owners comes from an upbringing wrapped in cottonwool.....

I thought Cahill is an Auckland boy, seems to have expunged his CV online.
