    Taipei?

    Up here flogging lamb/mutton for a few nights, does anyone know a decent Western bar or restaurant they can point me in the direction of? Auntie google is hopeless. Could do with a change from the weird local fare

    thanks @res , might check out the Brass Monkey if you reckon it's a goer. Probably prefer a place I can have a beer over a fancy restaurant or hotel bar. staying in Zhongshan
    Very familiar with Woolloomooloo restaurants in HK as we send them a bit of beef

    I worked there for 6 months in the early 80's, didn't have to do much to get laid. Must have been the long blonde hair.

    I wasn't chasing, quite the reverse. I couldn't go anywhere without being hit up. I worked all over Asia and Taiwan was tops.

    Understand completely, I had countless occasions to dream I was single- never had so much detail attention in my life.
    Some of my single western friends were really slaying the hordes
