    Targeted car theft

Overnight a family member's XR8 Sprint and Hilux Ute were stolen from the driveway in Blenheim. Cunts got inside and took the keys while the family slept.

Anyone got any good oil on the process they'll be using to move these vehicles on?

I'm picking theyll either be in the North Island or down Chch getting chopped or in the case of the Sprint, in a container for export? Likely gang tied or another organised group?

Bummer. I think of that possibility most times I put my car keys down just inside my front door. But I keep doing it -- most convenient spot....

tell the cops you left your new born baby in there and twenty six guns, then sit back and wait for the car to be found.
    will take approximately 12 hours.

Generally stolen cars are found by their owners if at all, cops are not interested in finding stolen vehicles.

I'd also be worried about what other keys were on the keyring. House? Gun safe?

Yeah, they got mine a couple of years back. Police basically said if it turned up it would be found, ie they don't bother.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

They'd either use the plates and tags off another Ute for the Hilux. And for the sprint it'd be stolen to order and shipped overseas. NZ is too small to hide a unique car.

Or the Hilux is shipped off to the middle East or Africa. Apparently huge market from Toyota 4 wheel drives over there.

A bit of incriminating evidence would help just a little.

Surely they had to take the ford to get the hilux out.
On the more serious side no body got harmed so lucky they stayed sleeping as one would hate to think what could happen if you confronted these bottom feeders
