    It didn't. Call it speculation.

"SOME poachers use suppressors and/or NVGs, therefore ALL users of suppressors and/or NVGs are poachers."

Similar logic and reasoning to the MSSA debate, but it's not limited to firearms and accessories. I recall reading somewhere that once upon a time someone, somewhere wanted rebreathers outlawed because that level of technology was the stuff of "frog-men", and there was no place for that sort of thing for civilians.

Hope not!!! Getting setup and trained on rebreather over the winter. My logic is it will make the remote diving that I enjoy cheaper in the long run.

I dont want to stereotype but I dont associate NV gear with sheep rustlers having seen the type associated with the practice around turangi.

On the lager deeper trimix dives yep it works out well $ wise.yes it's nice not having to run a compressor on away trips on the boat or fiord land and the other benefits that go with them.Rebreathers are a tool to do a job if rec diving is your thing $ wise it doesn't stack up to o/c diving.I have been a instructor on these for a while but don't have the spare time to do this any more.happy to answer any questions you have if needed.

He mentioned Dolphin. Not really sure he is sorting everything and the unit was his brothers who no longer dives.

As I said I am not entirely sure what unit he has for me. He has been diving in the Navy as long as I have been recreational diving and I did my open water in the mid 80s.
I will be new to mixed diving but he assures me it will make logistics easier for my interests.
I work overseas among some amazing dive sites with no dive shop support.
So carting and using the gear at the depths I intend will be easier than carting doppler kit around.
