Im going to be a bit hypocritical in my post right now cause I'm really against Chinese imitation products that try to be the real item. If you want to copy it and re brand the item i don't mind. Stops anyone trying to on sell a product under falsifying details.
I saw a review from a local guy about this knife ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/PEGA...999.262.e366Ye ), which I'm going to grab just for a spare and cheap knife to take in the pack.
Having never ventured far into aliexpress i was shocked to see scopes imitating Vortex, Leupold and even Swarovski down to the packaging and manuals etc. Clearly easy to pick out the differences when you have a closer look at the item. But a quick sale on a trademe auction could easily catch a gullible person out of pocket a bit of coin.

This isn't about creating a "level playing field" for nz retailers at all, it's about revenue gathering so the government can afford to give all the lazy/useless people the money they promised them. Bullshit. Why should we pay a "government services tax" to companies that don't receive any bloody services from our government?

They kind of do.... can't exactly make a fortune without roads, law and order and things like that.

But it will kill a lot of cheap overseas gear though. Better rifle through the piggy bank and get some stuff before it's jacked up in price like auckland fuel haha.

It's not about the GST which I will happily pay it's the inspection fees of $50 and gst on the freight which is BS. I would only support removing the $400 limit if the blanket fee and gst on freight was replaced with a fair 1-2% of the overall cost, something more like what commercial importers pay as a % of their shipment. That would be a level playing field. The inspection charge is the "Protectionism" charge cause at the moment it will make it not worth importing cheap items.
I say go after the landlords who are speculating and over inflating land values/rent. Rent is the biggest enemy of the honest retailer as they are astronomical and climbing.

    For example:

Drowning my phone finally got out for a hunt got got a wee yearling buck, carrying the bag of meat back to pack and rifle I found a bottomless swamp, threw meat out to dry land in time and thought I had nothing water sensitive in my pockets.... Turns out I was wrong.

On the plus side I can't get any volunteer call outs

Those of you who uses the Tapatalk app must also see all those shit ads between everything and occasionally click on them accidentally.
This little gem popped up recently as an advertisement for a building firm.

WTF. Leveling a number 8 in the vertical? It will be on the piss as the top is narrower than the bottom. And you want to build me a house? Its a bit picky I know but, man all I can envision from that is a home Escher would only be keen to live in.
