We did our kitchen and dining floor, toilet floor with hot wire, bathroom floor with hot wire and a full tile walled and glass shower stall last year.

I sourced tiles and hot wire directly and used Merc Ceramics for all work. Done professionally and to a high standard, but forget time frames... You have to jump on him to get action as he has so much work on.

Price seemed fair, but I didn't shop around. Came highly recommended to do a good job and that was enough for me. We were working to a time table for international guests arranged well in advance and confidently told it wouldn't be a problem but had to nag to get it sorted.

    Would definitely use again.

Size: 3.61 MB you can see them here just by the door. Then if one fails you can connect the next one that’s just left lose in the dry lining box for the sake of a few dollars gives you great peace of mind

Not sure if they do that decoupling membrane in NZ but if they do use it along with slow set flexible adhesive it's the way forward.
Means if theres any movement in the floor the whole thing moves as one, so with luck not cracked tiles
