    Time is ticking

Well , all ammo has been shot , (thanks for helping me do that @jim160 )... pistols have been cleaned , ... all reloading gear has been packed away , powder given away , now the wait till i get to shoot again , i will be sitting my canadian FAL for standard and restricted on the 21st and 22nd jan , so when my guns land in canada i will be able to take them home straight away , .... a question for you all , a suggestion of CRC soft seal to be used on all metal parts of the guns is one option , they will be in a safe , with lots of silica gel packets , , the ship will go past some very humid moist parts of the world , so what all , would the rest of you use to protect the metal , until i get my cold hands on them 3 odd months later , .....

    Time is ticking

Vacuum pack them once sprayed with soft seal

Preppers bury them and stash them in shelters etc for years once vacuum packed

    Zero corrosion.

There's a lanolin based CRC spray I've hard mentioned on here previously.

Although soft seal it's the business on our gear outside.

Lanolin from CRC , in spray or in a small pot.( use an old tooth brush to apply). You ll be sweet till Canada .
It would be a different story for long term storage( years and years).

Lanox spray from Kapiti Bearings and locksmiths - Inox and Lanolin in the one can. @stumpy - you can get the vac bags from Briscoes. Russel Hobbs ones: Briscoes - Russell Hobbs RHVS6R Seal Fresh Replacement Rolls Set of 2
If it's only for 4 handguns, I have enough here to do the job. I have the vac sealer if you don't have access to one - just flick me a PM if you need it.
