    TV on the fritz

Hi team, TV just shat its arse by the looks. Picture has all these horizontal lines like the graphic card (is that even a thing) is loose. Blurred colours but mainly black. Can sometimes pick up the channel number when changing them....HD ports doing the same so not aerial issue.

Turned it off and gave it a few taps around the place and it went ok again for a few minutes.

Samsung LED about 4 years old.

Worth getting it looked at? @gonetropo??

if you have a thermal imager take the back off and see if you can find a hot spot on the circuit boards or it maybe a cold spot.

If you're bored, take a teaspoon of killer sauce. Repeat every two hours.

Same thing happened to our Samsung about 18 months ago. It was 4 years old at the time.

"Oh sorry, it's outside the warranty period". I hand the phone to wifey who gives the call centre person a burst and starts quoting the CGA.

"Products can be expected to last for a REASONABLE amount of time. Are your telling me 4 years is unreasonable for a $1500 TV!?!"

Rapid backpedaling ensues, and later that week we have a new TV.

18 months later and that one has started to shit itself too.
