    uhf cb

    hi ive got a uhf radio in the wagon could some one please give me a run down on what channels you are using etc eg truck channel emergency channel etc thanks and might get to chat sometime

    NZ does not have any designated/emergency channels, they are generally all open for general use unlike Australia. Great that the Commerce Commission still only lists the original 40 channels.

    5 & 35 are designated emergency channels I believe on PRS
    15 is the emergency channel on CB (26mhz)

    Only for Aus, I gather they are not monitored here.

    gadget im equipped in truck&2x handhelds for maimai -bloody excellent to track&crack birds last year.our mutual friend the hobbit&i use ch25 if we're on the move or in residence in the respective maimais!it helps with safety too as we all know when KWB has deployed the dog out in front so removes any temptation to blaze away!
