    Vacuum pack bags/rolls

I know this has probably been asked before but I am curious as to where to get a good deal on them.

    Wharehouse still the cheapest?

Finished doing some meat today and noticed I a getting pretty low.

Kmart sell rolls cheaper than TWL but not as much on the roll. Both work ok with me. See what other say though as I have an old crappie LV Martin machine that I have adapted my vacuum cleaner to as the pump was useless.

I haven't had any issues with sealing or bad bags yet.
I just make sure whatever I am packing has room all the way around it so air can be sucked out.

Not sure if it is the right thing to do but it works for me. My pump isint the gruntiest but most stuff I pack doesn't last long enough in the freezer to get a burn

Did have some cold smoked salmon the other day that I did last season. It was perfect.

Can she buy me some then?

I found a twin pack that's 39 bucks at briscoes but it doesn't give the length.

    I found somewhere else that sells 24m x 20cm for 50 bucks.

Just tried by putting them in the basket. Come to 44 bucks incl delivery.

    Think I'll go the 24m for 50

I buy the Sunbeam Foodsaver rolls, heaps of others I have had were shit, had one lot from the warehouse that would split once frozen. The sunbeam ones claim that you can cook in the bag also, haven't tried it but be handy for packaging up curries etc and just dropping them in a pot out on the hill

Pretty sure this was the place on the forum?

I'll give these a go as they claim you can heat them to 100c as well.
I might try a boil in bag meal or 2.
