    Wally of the week

Confession is apparently good for the soul, so here goes. Forgive me forum for I have screwed up. It has been at least twenty four hours since my last screw up but yesterday I drove to Puhoi with the express purpose of zeroing the 17HMR that I was gifted a couple of months ago and I get there, set up the target at 100 metres, lay out everything on my shooting mat, load the magazine, get in behind and ........ Fuck me I've done a @Pengy. Talk about rip my undies.

Almost as much fun as driving 200k to go hunting only to find the magazine stayed home. At least i could load one at a time but a savage 223 is a fiddly thing to single load with no mag.

I did`nt realise that " doing a Pengy" had entered into a figure of speech. Nice to be infamous I guess

To do it properly @Rushy, it has to be done at least twice

Apparently now in the New Oxford Dictionary along with a reference to its Antipodean origin.

When you get to my age Rushy - you can use old age as an excuse
Took this thing up to the farm to sight it in - set up a target at 100m - bit of padding on the ground - all ready to go - shit this is not my semi auto - the farking bolt is 50km away at home
Bought it nearly a year ago and all it has shot is Tom in a cage - had a couple of shots at magpies at about 150m in the wind and they seem to fly away - do these bloody 17s blow around in the wind?
Maybe I need to sight it in again - or take the 22 where I don’t have to worry about a bolt

You get that when you make the practise your public signature.

@Time_out re sight it in, took mine out and discovered it was 6 inches high at 50m, hadn't been bumped to badly that I can recall, must have at some point though. But the wind sure does blow the 17grain pill around. Sighted in the 308 at the same time, 150gr didn't move at 100m 17 all over the show at 50 with wind gusts
