Watch out for those killer Fallow

Record 41,000 deer culled but thousands more roaming free

But East Gippsland farmers said deer were a significant nuisance. Orbost dairy and beef farmer Chris Nixon said: ''At my farm here in Orbost we have deer on it every night. And they wreck fences, they spook cattle and, depending on what type of deer they are, if they're fallow deer they will actually kill cattle.''

So do you think only the Aussies have the killer ones or have all you Wanganui farmers of lost hundreds of cattle over the years and just never noticed?

Bit of brilliance in the interview " we have to keep them alive to kill them" ...... what the fuck is that?

It's pretty clear what he means, their group was obviously pro deer and supported hunters so they have to protect the deer numbers to be able to successfully harvest them as recreational hunters.

Haha I remember reading that, apparently killed a 400kg heifer I think. Was probably a greens supporter, they don't want recreational hunters to touch them but professional hunters to come in a wipe em out. Apparently having more kangaroos now than ever existed still isn't enough with competition from these horrible deer
