    Welding Ti

Mate has had a tag break off his titanium muffler (husky 600, antisocial). Any idea on how to weld/patch it? Tig? I've zero point zero zero experience with titanium.

I have seen a couple of videos on YouTube and it looks like tig will work, you just need a heat sink and purge the inside with argon. Also clean clean clean.
Never done it myself yet, but have a project so have been researching. Hopefully someone has so ill keep a keen interest on this thread.

    Knead it ??

I am not a welder but have managed to fix holes in both a sump and exhaust in previous vehicles with this stuff.

Not sure how it will be with titanium....maybe worth a try....pretty cheap !!

Id say you are going to have to dismantle the muffler to a get it clean and then B get a decent back purge.....with those other cracks spidering out from the hole results probably wont be pretty.

    What he said.
Done a little tig welding on staino and ally over the years. None on titanium but the clean and purgy method would be pretty right. Being a sooty yucky muffler wont help if its anything like aluminium
    sure it isn't stainless?

If you can get a bit a little thicker to weld over the hole as a doulbler then wel the braket to that it would probably be the tidyest and strongest solution.
