    Whakamarama hut kaimais

Went for a little stalk the other week and found a cheeky little tin hut near a clearing, thought it was pretty choice it hadn't seen any campers in a little while, I left you guys a box of matches and a lighter as I noticed there wasn't any.
Anyone got any info on who made it etc??
    Cheers Terry

If that was in the Whakamaramara area, it may have been on Maori land. If further NW and at higher altitude it has a name, but the name eludes me at the moment as not at home to consult my notes.

taken my kids into salvation hut I think it would be cool to give the interior a bit of work and make it ok to stay in easy to take kids for the hut experience

Second one is Salvation Hut, located just off the big swamp. Last one is Ngamuwahine Shelter. Supposedly a new hut going in at there at some stage, I’d guess it’ll be a big flash one like Terereatukahia Hut.

Up behind the 5 acre? If anyone wants their tape back? I have a bundle of it here ;-) Leave the bush as you find it no need for tape on a clearly defined track

Stumbled upon this one night too. Was it at the toe of a spur and small chopper pad next to it. Also full of rats? Its private land but hut not been used for ages.
    Would rather sleep outside.
