    What is this?

Another guessing game - what on earth is this?
Very sharp hook - it has a long thin hardwood handle with a unusual end piece/handle. Be about 1m long or thereabouts.

Is the hook a blade or is only the tip sharp?

Just the tip - seems too wide for a gaff...

Maybe for picking up, hooking and moving discs when cutting and splitting firewood

Good for old buggers who can't bend and stoop
