    what to do with left over antibiotics

    ok so I got realy sick and it nearly killed me ive finished a long course of antibiotics and have 2 lots left over they are in the form of a baxter pump ive been told to throw them in the rubbish but id rather not maybe I could take them back to the hospital or something any ideas

    Pharmacy will usually take stuff back for disposal.

    Why do you have left overs? Its super important you finish all your antibiotics even if you feel better. This ensures that the bacteria that made you sick doesn't become resistant to the antibiotics. Can't stress this enough, finish the full course. Antibiotic resistant bacteria is a HUGE threat to humanity.

    don't panic ive checked with the hospital pharasist and the doctor who was treating me at infectious diseases ive finished the full course and ive got some left over because early in the treatment I had one baxter that didn't work properly so I always had a spare one on hand incase I got another one that didn't work and theres no way I wouldn't take the full course fukd if I want this again I think humans are the biggest threat to humanity
