Obviously you didn't drive thru Te Puke with it's double lanes so that people can back out into one of the lanes without looking.

Drove up the middle of the island today, paraparaumu to Taupo, no traffic after Sanson, Desert Rd was miserable with rain, wind and thick fog. Got behind a modern bus type mobile home, Our Dream or something, what a prick, must have lost his revision mirrors, 75 - 80 k from the twisted end of the desert rd to nearly Tauranga-Taupo, How he got a HT licence I don't know, had about 30 vehicles behind him at one stage! Only other prob were dick heads speeding up when they get to passing lanes
    Mostly a relaxed drive!

the left lane is for coming and going from car parks, not trying to pass the truck you have been following on the inside. if your going straight though, use the right lane.

Heading to AUckland, and I'm taking the motorbike.
1400cc of sports touring fury, sick of being stuck behind wankers who do 90 then speed up to 110 on passing lanes.

You mean speed up lanes. My pet hate. Best thing they could do is get rid of the fuckers.

They need more of them, that's where I begrudgingly let the faster stuff behind me past. Not really, my old heap is pretty slow and I keep well to the left and pull over wherever safe; and that is a lot more frequently than the passing lanes.

Ergo get rid of them. It's only the bubbernment being cheap bastards again. Instead of putting in proper motorway we have passing lanes. Cunts.

We get on SH16 with people that are unfamiliar with the road. I often follow people going 70kph on a 100kph road. It frustrates the hell out of me.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

The numbers are speed limits fellas, not targets Relax and take in the scenery, smell the privet, praise the fact that you are lucky enough to actually be moving in your vehicle, rather than sitting still in a traffic jam for hours on end.

Well you shouldn't complain, just relax as Pengy pointed out. They are driving to their ability in their vehicle on that road at the time and it is probably indicative of the speed you should be driving that stretch; after all the rules state that if there is a centreline you must be able to stop in the clear lane visible in front of you, if there is no centreline then half that distance. I'd rather be behind slow traffic like that than crawling along at 15km/h past the entourage of services cleaning up the mess.

Actually that is one overriding argument that goes against people complaining about 'coming across cyclists around a bend and I had no where to go, there was a truck coming on the other side, ....' Hello, I think you have broken on of the fundamental rules, if you can't stop you are going too fast for that bit of road. That is not the cyclist fault, it's yours. It normally becomes the cyclist problem unfortunately.
