    What's this?

Found bordering a forestry block today, saw some old pig sign. Was more of it all in the same few meters of area. Looks like a dog shit but composed entirely of fine white wool or hair. Pig eating lambs?

Like kukuwai suggests. Don't birds of prey cough up this sort of thing?

Yep they do here is a screen shot i found of pellets from hawks, kestrel's and owls....

I found a few owl pellets once and they were very full of hair and also what looked like grass hopper legs. Pretty interesting.

Yep fur pellets from hawk. My dad's falcons pellets are yellow because he mainly fed them with young chicks during the off season.

Well if its wolf shit, who ever owns that hand has got some long term problems coming. That stuff carries nasty bugs.

Mate my hands go all sorts of nasty places on a daily basis I'm sure they would be immune. The owl/hawk thing makes sense, now I think about it, it was quite possibly belly hair off a rabbit or hare
