you are doing better at 70 than me at 50 so maybe there is hope for me yet to get half as good as you by then.

Great inspiration @Tahr, my old man has gone downhill in the last 6 months with a heart defect. Sad to see, he’s 71 now, only a year ago he was as fit as me (not saying much).
Keep it up as ‘Kiwis’ are the real deal.

When you are 70, you should be aiming for 71, perhaps not at where that barrel is pointed.

Geez - I am 60 and struggling with any sort of hill fitness.

If i had to carry more than my lunch on my back it would likely kill me ......

Get outta here Bruce. You don't project anything even close to that score.

I've a gent working for me at the moment. He's 67. He just rarked up a bunch of young guys labouring who were "tired". He starts at 6AM and often works past 5PM.
It's just a number to him, it's the attitude that counts.

I did comment on another thread, being 69 the only problem I have, like Tahr is retiring, you know your getting there, but you don’t feel it, still fit enough, just slower, to do what you want to, but the end is getting sharper!!i think you get rid of your burdens and continue working, but with better managed time off to enjoy you better half and family, but still have the money to buys the bloody toys. I think if I just retired the downward slope might be steep. Health becomes increasingly important!! Shit I have another blood test this month!!
Good on you Tahr, keep doing what you do, keep the brain active, the body looked after and enjoy everybody who loves you!! Shit you only 70!!

Ripper, out there doing it. Good on you @Tahr. Was a bit worried at all the blood on the ground ..... wondered if you’d shot your self in the foot. Being wrong side of sixty myself it’s a great reminder to get out there every chance you get.
