    I'm still running a few on XP Dundee. Microsoft stopped supporting it a while ago and I think Java is stopping April. Don't see too many issues, just wont be updated.

    @Dundee

    The world is NOT Ending .... or falling on your head.

    Windows XP will keep on working ..... you just won't receive any updates to the operating system.

    I still have a windows 95 machine running, it still runs a 9.6kps modem and has a massive 4GB hard drive.

    If your really worried though you can get yourself set up with a fairly flash harry laptop for under four hundy.

    Go to this url https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anif5KY0iBs and watch windows 98 working, using firefox 10 as a browser. So Win XP will still work fine, just your browser will be a bit shabby on some web sites.

    Yup, I have a site still using Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Services. It does what it needs to and is very stable requiring a reboot about every 4-6 months. They are also running the latest version which crashes at least 3 times a week.

    Too much browsing dodgy web sites late at night causes that. Google for it and you may be able to remove it via add remove programs. Download AVG free and do a full scan with that. Download CCleaner and disable any dodgy startup programs.

    We have xp on pc and this is a relatively new lap top I am typing on dunno what it runs and a old lap top we were given for the kids ditto.
    Keep telling the wife as the self appointed computer technician to get all the photos out of the old pc onto disk or straight into this lappy or some bloody thing but looks like I will have to pay some geek to do it.

    Just install Dropbox out better yet mega and upload your photos into the intercloud. Storing them on your hard drive so it can cash and destroy the lot is soooo 2000.
