Would you travel to the nearest H&F to sell fur

Just curious as I found out that H&F are in the process of getting on board with a fur company as buying agents. Now if you were in a large area such as the waikato and you are more than an hour away from the hamilton branch would you go there to sell your fur knowing you have a decent little sports shop in your town you can get your bits and bobs from, or would you rather have someone you can go to at anytime of the day or week and not have to worry about getting there before the doors shut. Just curious on what your guys views are.

H&F are my nearest retailer but still 23 K's away. In your circumstances I would be supporting the local shop

Would be a bummer selling your fur at H&F under the name of Colin Ash and then having to buy ammo with your FAL under the name of Joe Blow

Have a great working relationship with my buyer, who's a sole operator and never tried to rip me off. Quite the oppositie actually and he has 1 of my art pieces on his wall so he got good taste as well.

Aren't H&F just a franchise? I thought the shops were still owned by locals who just pay a bit to use the H&F name. I am probably completely wrong.

Yes they are a franchise and not all of them are owned by locals some franchise owners own more than one shop i.e the guy who owns tauranga was part owner of rotorua and owned a branch in Sth Auckland so no not all of them are owned by local people. A small percentage of all sales goes to the head office for use of the name and they all sell the same items as per catalogue and all use the same suppliers.

    I'm with you Mucko.

And you can add the Napier H&F store to your list as they are no better.
