what a bright bugger i am -bugger me with an irridescent parsnip call me felix and stick a light bulb up me nose!
yup worrying about my beloved 12g s/a escort shotty and this heinous crap -Ive finally found my file with
    my escort manual
its 3"chamber 4rds mag+1 in breech .mag extensions 6=1 but thats illegal now -no probs with that.
me bentley pointer is only allowed 2 3/4 12g and from memory its 3+1

however the best of allis my discovering my cache of academic literature by eminently qualified experts on why restricting firearms has zero effect on crime a comprehensive study on the failure of johny howards aussie firearms buyback after the tasmanian debacle
and the oft quoted judgement of justice mallon in lincoln vs the crown
    22/10/2009
    a wee entree
Under the arms act the police do not have the ability to make a binding classification as to whether the a firearm is an MSSA as defined in that act. That is a question of statutory interpretation for the court in any particular case where the issue is relevant to the matter before it.
    hers another doozey-
this time its prof Gary Mausers critique of alpers and twyfords 2003 study in which they claimed that the availability of civilian firearms contributes to criminal violence in the pacific region.
this study was the basis for Jimmy Andertons mutt mate matt robsons(alliance min of disarmament) adress to a UN disarmament conference(say no more)
despite acknowledging the most commonsource of illegal firearms in polynesia was from police armouries ,THE AUTHORS concluded the most important next step for solving criminal violence in the regionis to introduce more restrictive firearms laws and disarm civilians
THIS IS A STUNNING NONSEQUITUR AS THE AUTHORS MERELY ASSUME THEIR CONCLUSION
their study provides NO empirical support that civilian ownership of firearms poses any threat for criminal or terrorist misuse.

dont forget Helen Clarks govt used this study to present it as the case in NZ???????WTF??

the most hilarious comment was from John Howat then chair of COLFO;there as an observer
half the parties present had no idea what was on the agenda
half seemed to be there for tea and coffee
a rambling two week talk fest ,produces a two sentence summary
,in essence none could agree on anything!

a ring of familiarity eh what !
enjoy theres more to come as i trawl through the documents.
