    1000yrd ranges

    are there any 1000yrd ranges around Christchurch?

    Yes, the Christchurch Rifle Club range at Tai Tapu.

    It is currently undergoing maintenance of the mantlet area which should be finished soon.

    The Malvern Club's range shoots out to 900 yards and Ashburton to 700 yards.

    I suspect its for club members only though? ie I dont think you can go there and casually shoot?

    They were talking about making a hunting rifle class out there too I need to follow them up about that

    OK, Trentham wont allow non-club members to shoot their guns.
