    5shot cold bore 600yards

While at the f class in ashburton i had a chance to check dope on my new(to me) tikka 260rem with ahtlon Midas TAC 4-16 at 600yards. Zeroed it the week before. Rough data showed 3.8mil to dial so dialed 4.0 and held center with 8-12km wind from 3oclock. I pulled the last shot a bit but still good enough for a crappy tikka t3.

Gotta be happy with that, those Athlon's offer great performance for the money eh.

I run an Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 on my 28 Nosler. Wouldnt mind a Midas Tac too actually. Where did you source yours? Mine came in from the US.

range buddy is handy and easy to use, make sure to input distance and scale before doing anything else.

Yip, my first experience with this was about four months ago. This was my first outing with a new-to-me 6mmBR at 600yds.

I was asking whether the recorded velocities would be OK to use for ladder testing but was advised the recorded velocities may not be accurate enough at the 600yd range to do use for load developement.

    Great technology. target5.pdf
