    7mm08 tikka which ammo???

Hey have got a 7mm08 tikka and the only ammo I have tried is remington core lokt, Havn't had the best results with it, has any one else experienced this and if so which factory ammo did you have good results with... Am possibly thinking of federal or prvi partizan??? Cheers.

Core lokt shoot worse the steel cased Barnul in my 223. Id try Federal or Hornady, with the later being your best bet for accuracy.

    My 7mm08 595 came with 100 core lokt,rubbish about 2in groups.Next tried blue box federal 150grain,much better 5 shot 3 hole groups at .75 in.Then tried hornady white tail,not great 1.5 in.
I guess it's buy a few boxes, suck it and see.

Every rifle is different, try different brands and projectile types until you find something that shoots tight groups and kills things dead.

best ammo for a 7mm-08 is one that says 7mm-08 on it

all jokes aside we can not tell you what your rifle will shoot well only what ours liked which may not be what your rifle will like
my mates tikka 7-08 that I borrowed while I was saving up for my new rifle shot both fed blue box 150gn and remigton coreloct 140gn to an inch or less and to the exact same poi at 100m which was handy as if the shop didn't have one you could get the other without having to rezero the rifle but the only way to find what your rifle likes is to try lots of drifent brands

remember not to get too hung up on accuracy and think more about a good bullet that dose the right job when it hits your target..... id way rather be shooting a bullet that only shoots an inch at 100 but works well at the other end than a super accurate 1/2 inch or less bullet that blows up on the shoulder and wounds the animal if you can get both that's great but if not lean towards the one that works best as long as it has useable accuracy remember 1- 1.5 inches at 100m is plenty of accuracy for most hunting applications

What he said, Mine shot good with 139gr SST Superformance, that was until i started reloading

Dont worry about the Latte Jokes and double shots etc, not normally anything decent to say so they bag the superior calibres!!!!

I get brilliant results with Rem corelokt, accuracy and knock down power, each rifle is different and will shoot ammo differently, I have tried the super performance ammo in mine and it was shit.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Factory corlokt shoots under an inch in my finnish latte slinger. Dont think there is an answer to this question other than shoot a few different types and see what works. Gunworks sells sample packs of loaded ammo don't they?

All round availability of Remington Core Lokt and Federal Fusion is somewhat better than Hornady Superformance, Federal Blue Box. I use Federal blue box in my Tikka and it works well, but the ammo isn't always available. I'd work out what the gun likes, and buy a case of it. Then again, are you trying to shoot minute of angle or minute of deer?
