    @NZShoota, only made it to Cambridge, and funny enough the dew there caused a tent that was a lot more damp inside than 2 nights of downpour at Orere. Go figure

    Was the desert road bridge closed already when you guys went through ? I ended up going down the western side of lake Taupo and then from Turangi to National Park and Wiberia.

    See you guys on Friday for round 2.

    It was still open when we went through. There was next to no traffic once we got past Taupo, only the odd truck.
