Clubs that cater for semis in the greater auckland area.

With the popularity of the AR I'm wondering what clubs cater/are friendly towards these firearms around south Auckland and a bit further south.

I am not a club, but you can shoot your AR to your hearts content into the side of the mountain at my place...others do...
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

Cheers for that, I have a friend moving back from working in perth next year and looking to purchase an ar and was looking for clubs in and around Auck. I have plenty of places here in northland to shoot and both clubs I belong to are AR friendly.

Loads of AR shooters at Tokoroa too, the open/sighting in range is usually busy on the weekends. Mind you there's only 2 x benches for sighting in.

Auckland Service Rifle Association, a few forum members are members/shoot at Clevedon (summer) and Waiuku/Awhitu (winter)
Auckland NZDA have a dedicated MSSA (A and E) shoot 30 Nov at Riverhead.

You will still get the odd old farts making snide comments about Rambo, but more and more semi shooters are the range and it will only increase.
    Welcome to Sako club.

NZDA Auckland will let you shoot semi's on there range (lots do) provided you have the appropriate licence. Next general practise is 23 Nov.
