    DIY Bi Pod Spikes

Dimensional drawing I ve been using to make Pod Spikes to fit Harriss and other makes as you drill the leg hole to suit.

    Fitting Instruction

    1. Cut the old rubbers off your Bi Pod Legs. (These go on to stay )
    2. Grind the roll pins down till they are just coming out of the side of the legs at least 1 mm each side.
(You need this bit for a reason so dont over cook it.)
Note: If you try to punch them out two things happen. On some Bipods they hold the pull
springs so you have buggered that up , plus its real hard to do with out bending your legs then they will no longer retract.
(Trust me on that one ha ha )
    3. Measure the leg diameter at the point where you have the pieces of roll pin sticking out and drill the leg hole in the spike
to as close as that as you can get, not too much bigger
    4. Mix up two pot araldite and fill the spike hole nearly to the top.
5.Fit the spike tighten the grubscrew (dont overdo it ) then position the Bipod somewhere safe till the glue goes off.

I reckon thats about it ... Ive possibly missed something ...... I have done around 8 sets so far and none have come loose or failed.

Nice work, and yeah, I feel your pain with the material. Cutting an ultra fine thread into non free cutting alloy is nightmarish.
