    His videos are excellent,one of the best for guns on you tube.Mechanically the Galil must have been superior to the M16,but heavier and more expensive to procure.Really just a significantly upgraded and high quality AK.

    I seem to remeber hat the Galil was a hybrid of good ideas- Action:Kalashnikov, Barrel:Colt,Stock: FN

    Seem to recall reading that the very first Israeli Galils (prototypes?) were built on Valmet receivers smuggled in from Finland.......

    That wouldn't surprise me. It ought to be a better starting point than a kalashnikov one.
