    if you developed a flinch with a 308 stay the fuck away from anything with WSM SAUM or MAGNUM in the name.

    Haha that's some pretty solid advice.

    If I was you the first thing i'd do being going to a magnum would be to test if I still had a flinch or not. Have a mate load the rifle for you and one round in about 10 not load anything. You may be surprised to find you still flinch. Read this somewhere as one of the suggested ways to test, as most people don't even notice they're flinching as it's all covered by the blast.

    I didn't think I was flinching the other day when I had a bruised shoulder after about 75 rounds with the shotgun the night before, but then I had a jam and I flinched like fuck. Only reason I noticed it was because there wasn't the normal cover of the round going off. Really surprised me as i've had the odd missfire due to various reasons (not cycling bolt back enough, thought I had 1 more in the magazine, etc) and never flinched before.
