About LinkBacksYou dont need a magnum for 400 but to shoot 400 in the wind you do. Its about bucking the wind not the drop.
I think a 280 would do you well, not quite a magnum but better performance then 7mm08.
Get someone to make you a load with the 162amax around 2800fps
