How far can I push the K95?

I wanted to see how far I can push the range with my K95. I bought it knowing they are an accurate rifle and I wanted to be able to shoot to 400-500yds.
My K95 is chambered in 7x65R, the rimmed version of the 7x64. I use a 162 amax at 2750fps.
Load development was pretty basic, 1 round of each different powder weight from 55 - 57.5gr 2213sc in 0.5gr imcrements. 57.5gr gave 2750 fps. I picked a seating depth of 2.711" base to ogive measurement. No real reason for that depth, just choose.
I loaded up several rounds at 57.5gr and sighted in at 100yds, and that was my load development.
Working on my shooting technique has been interesting. I don't use a bipod, which I have used for the last 9 years. If I have the stock too low on my shoulder it slips off the shoulder and the shot goes high.
The shooting in the video was using the pack under the fore-end and rolled up sleeping bag under the butt.
The duplex reticle in the Vx6 is thicker than I'm use to, but I am getting use to it.
After this shooting session I'll be happy out to 600yds, with a good rest, in good conditions.

What's the deal with shooting at Lyndon now? Been meaning to go there for a long range sesh.

glad your a good shot, I was walking up the ridge behind the cardboard targets a few weeks ago. You would have more gear on if it was the same day tho, it was bloody freezing with a howling southerly blowing

I was trying it as a method you see a bit when using a soft front rest. I wasn't real happy with the stability and switched to holding the fore-end with my left hand. I had my palm down resting on the pack and had the fore-end resting on the pack and lying on the back of my hand between my thumb and forefinger. I held the fore-end with my thumb and fore-finger. This was the technique I used for the 550 and 940 yd shots.
