    little bit of handgun action

    so , I practised today at the range to get my muscle memory for drawing , loading , mag changes .... grip etc etc ....

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Triple taps Pete. We should get Stumpy standing on the range reciting "heart, heart, head" with every quick three round volley group. You never know, the CIA might pick him up as a black ops agent.

    with the glock gen 3 , the slide release is very close to the body and the mag release is low profile.... I have short stubby fingers , and cant reach either very well , so I have to change my grip to release mags ... and I turn the gun to the left to view the chamber as a clearance and stoppage drill at the same time .... I can buy extended mag and slide release , ..... but , not yet .....

    Agree, I'm struggling with the production mag release in the G17!

    Those mags look a little sticky too, they are not dropping free.

    Try using your left thumb to depress the slide stop lever. As someone who also suffers from short fingers, I find it to be smooth and fast.
