Anyone one here using one of the Dean Maisey adjustable muzzle breaks? am considering one for the 7mm Mag, seem to be a few options, but the ability to open and close on the spot does seem rather handy.

Matt2308 has one on a 270WSM. Works very well and point of impact can be the same open or closed, if the shooter can shoot well.
I have one of Dean's QuattroMax brakes. I keep meaning to do a write up on the actual differences in field shooting between radial and directional brakes. Overall, either is going to do the job and the radial back I have certainly takes up the recoil extremely well. Never looked back.
I just keep the brake in my pocket in areas where an animal might be close, and when we see one at distance(and normally have plenty of time) screw the brake on.
The video show that there is no dust or anything blown up from the ground, also great muzzle control!

Very interested in these brakes for my forthcoming .300 WSM - I wonder if there is there a UK agent for these or would I need to order direct from Kiwiland?
Was the brake on the vid standard port or adjustable?, couldn't see- was a good example of recoil reduction, taking shots without having to tie into the fore end using the sling and still retaining sight picture on the target is handy all round!
This one was standard. I might have some video of Matt's adjustable one. The adjustable one is great, Matt has shot deer at over 180m with the brake closed and animals over 700m with it closed. Point of impact remains the same!
I'll look for a similar video of the adjustable brake.
