    Nicole McKee

Came across an article on Nicole in a 2009 "NZ Guns and Hunting" magazine...I knew she had a background in shooting, but wasn't aware of this:
    - she won in 2009 the following events at the Wellington Service Rifle Association Anzac Day shoot: "Mad Minute", "Snap Shoot", and the "Best No. 4", and was a member of the winning team and outright winner on the day. At the event she set a NZ record score in the Trinity Match using a Number 5 Jungle Carbine.
-she is a member of the Karori Rifle Club, and their ammo officer.
-she is a member of the Wellington Rifle Association, and also the National Rifle Association. She represented NZ in Australia in 2006 and at Trentham in 2009.
-she is President of the Melrose Smallbore Rifle Club and a member of the Wellington Smallbore Association and Target Shooting NZ.
-she is a hunter and member of the NZDA Wellington Branch, and the current branch shooting champion.
-she is a member of the Wellington and NZ Service Rifle Associations and won the WSRA Carbine shoots 3 years in a row.
-she is a NZMSC firearms safety instructor and the Wellington Central Coordinator of firearms instructors.
-her 12 year old daughter won the NZDA Wellington Branch Junior Prize Shoot 2 years in a row.

She is a legend. Her steadfast support is very much appreciated, and yup, certainly has the qualifications for the job.

As well as all that, she is also one of the nicest people to have around and have a conversation with. Well spoken, intelligent, listens, and caring.

Exactly what I think of Nicole. Almost too nice to be a politician but I am glad it is Nicole representing our concerns and interests in the halls of power.

All power to her right arm I say.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Nicole was employed by the Mountain Safety Council to oversee the day to day running of the firearms instructorate , and did an exceptional job.

But - when she was overseas representing NZ at an international shooting event , the MSC disestablished her role and effectively made her redundant.

She is an awesome lady , well read , well presented , well spoken .We are lucky to have her as an advocate

Have to agree with sentiments already made in previous posts. Personally I feel she is doing an ok job in parliament fighting for Firearm Owners Rights but it’s the proverbial “ paddle up shit creek with one paddle “ for her. She doesn’t even have the support of some coalition mp’s, eg. that slag J Collins.
Unfortunately there’s a few firearm owners bagging Nicole on FB saying she’s ineffective and hasn’t achieved anything. I had some interaction with one of these arseholes over his claims before giving up on it.
Anyhow, while she has the support of many forum members, there are others out there that don’t.
And yes, her daughter is a very competent shot.

More's the pity that most other pollies do not enter the house equipped with achievements such as hers in their field of speciality, to prepare them for the task at hand.

Really enjoyed her latest speech in parliament too. Available on YouTube. She would make a great deputy leader IMO.
