Te puke is awesome but it's a club meet range, not really suited to load development etc. Tect is anytime if you are a deer stalkers member.

If a member of Nzda, use the Tect park range enroute to Rotorua via the ‘back’ road. 25,50,100,200,300m. Btw, if you need any info about living down this way, Pm me. Tauranga was my home town; have spent most of my life in the region and happy to answer and you may have.

Yeah Nick no one does load developement on our range at all.
Sorry but thats just plain inaccurate, its a lot about load development, on any given day, excluding an actual tournament you will see half the people trying out some sort of new load, whether just comparing it for SD on the electronic target chrony's or firing over a Lab, people trundle out a new gun / load on a weekly basis.
We have a 100 M sight in range available as well but it doesnt have electronic targets.

+ for above post. I shoot hunter class at Te Puke and it has been great for load dvt with various rifles. Good for scope evaluation etc too.

if you join NZDA BOP you can get a range key and go whenever you like, we are expanding the range to shoot longer, we have club night first tuesday of every month 7:30pm.

Thanks gotta sell our house and head over that way soon!
