    Ranges in Wellington area

Hi all. I want to be able to sight in my 303 (un muffled) and my 22 (silenced) but am having trouble finding a range to do it on. Talked to the nice lady at the local NZRA and she put me onto the deer stalkers. However, they assumed I was from Auckland, and haven't yet replied to my email asking about Wg ranges. Anyone know of any suitable venues? If all else fails, I guess I'll have to take a wander to one of the local hunting grounds..

Hi Stumpy. Thanks for the offer. I'll keep it in mind. I have joined the NZDA as a senior member, and have added my wife and daughter on my membership, so i can not only do the sighting in, but have we can all have a blast at the same time.

Meeting this Wed night at the Upper Hutt Cossie Club - fill in ya range key application form and bring it along around 7 then fork out another few bucks (15?) and you get your own range key

    Welcome aboard

Just remember when you go to the range -check the calender on the website first as they have bookings for police and other clubs at times

Hi 308. Yeah, I was tied up in a meeting, but my kind wifey got the key for me. Took my daughter up there today for a look see. What a beaut range. Just wished I'd taken a rifle, but wanted to scope the place out first. Met Steve from the Wairarapa, and had a great chinwag while the wet sunshine came down. After it cleared up, he let me have a blast with the .22's he bought to check the sighting on. Even my daughter got to have her first shot (and from the target holes, I'd better up my game).
